About Xuan Truong

Xuan Truong (she/her) is the Support Programs Specialist for the MOSAIC Office. Her dream job has always been to create and cultivate a continual foundation of access for marginalized communities, especially for students who attempt to navigate through academia and in the world beyond. In the center, Xuan's work is centered around Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and first-generation student experience here at UCCS.

Xuan herself is first-generation. She is the eldest daughter of Vietnamese war immigrants on the East Coast, having earned her bachelor’s degree in German and Comparative Literature from Smith College in 2021, where she was heavily involved in BIPOC programming with her work at the college’s multicultural hub, the Mwangi Cultural Center. She then lived in Germany for two years, earning her master’s degree in English Literature and Literary Theory from the University of Freiburg in 2023 while serving as a junior lecturer and teaching assistant for the English Department.
